Doa: perhaps a lemon, but very poor customer service by bootleg - Bootleg Inc Lightweight Adjustable Carrier, AR 15, Stripped, Semi Auto ONLY

I received the lightweight adjustable carrier in hopes of having greater control of gas regulation on my 11.5" 5.56 upper. However, the first time out to the range it would not adjust the gas no matter which setting I selected, suppressed or unsupressed. The rifle was a single shot on all settings. It was most likely a lemon, which happens. I switched the carrier for a standard one I had on hand and it worked flawlessly, both suppressed and unsuppressed.

I contacted Bootleg and it was originally agreed they would replace mine with a new one. However, after corresponding back and forth with the main contact for sales/support for a month, Bootleg never again responded to my emails nor answered the phone when I called during business hours.

OpticsPlanet was nice enough provide me an in-store credit for the return, even after their normal return period! Kudos to OP!
