Most Helpful Positive Review Boyd’s Hardwood stock
A few years ago I got the bright idea to strip my Marlin 39A down and give a thorough cleaning. In the process I broke the stock. Thanks to Boyds I now have my rifle looking as good as new. When I received the stock I immediately got my rifle out and removed the broken one. Within 25 minutes I was done.

Additional fitting required

Received the 39A stock after a lengthy wait (several Weeks). Nice finish and appeared to be correct. Attempted to install and inside was approximately 1/4 " smaller than the rifle tang. Spent a lot of time measuring the tang length and existing stock dimensions. Used a dremmel to open the first few inches of the opening. Finished stock fit fine. Description should have included: (fitting by qualified gunsmith etc. may be required).

nice finish

stock is nice but too bad it doesn't fit. going to need quite a bit of inletting to make it fit. However its the only choice for this stock.

Good solid stock

The stock needed a bit of fitting as the retaining screw hole was not aligned perfectly. The finish didn't match my forestock so I will be purchasing a forestock and hope the finish matches. I should have purchased them as a set.

Marlin 39 A stock

Got the stock in early. Fit right on the rifle had it on in about 5 minutes. Works great. Looks great.Shoots great. Beautiful stock.Im not a very good writer so cant think of anything else to say if this isnt enough I dont know what to tell you.
