Couldn’t Be Better

Purchased this for my newly acquired Savage MKII FV-SR. Fit is perfect, the feel is next level compared to the factory stock. Raised cheek bed is perfect, but not too much. Just overall changed the feel of the arm and I’m very excited to shoot it. You will need bottom metal to install this stock and longer receiver screws. You can buy a kit from Boyd’s but the metal is a thinner gauge steel. DIP makes kits and they use a thicker gauge steel. The fit isn’t much different but the thicker steel will help durability.

MkII fvsr boyds pro varmint

Savage mk II fvsr. The original stock was garbage. The rifle was not accurate at all. I ordered this stock in hopes of better accuracy. The stock was at my door in two days. I was questioning my decision when I opened the box to find the barrel channel cut off center. I ordered the bottom metal and trigger guard from DPI. When the bottom metal arrived I put it all together. I Was no longer concerned with barrel channel because the barrel is free floated. I took it to the range and I was surprised to find dime sized groups at 50 yds. This is a great alternative to the factory stock. Do not hesitate to order this product. Don't forget the bottom metal, trigger guard and longer screws.

  • Improves accuracy and ease of installation
  • Fit perfectly, secures the action. Good cheek rest for eye relief and scope mount.
Cons:
  • Barrel channel off center.

Savage fv sr

Bought this stock for my mkII fv sr. The original stock was causing accuracy issues. I ordered the stock with free shipping. It was at my door step the next day. I ordered the bottom metal and trigger guard from DIP. I was weary at first. When I installed the action I was at ease. The rifle shoots dime size groups at 50 yards. Great option do not hesitate to order!

Solid wood stock for MKII

Solid wood stock with nice coating. Seems a little bit bulky for a Savage MKII, but it's sturdy. It does require a separate purchase for the trigger guard and Maxwell plate since the original ones won't work. Just a heads up.
