Super Most of the Time, BUT
When trying to work at the lowest temperature setting, which is 120 degrees on my Digital 4-rack, the oven's internal temperature stays some 40 degrees hotter - by their thermometer and confirmed by my own probe thermometer in the food. Having the vent wide open made no difference. This is apparently not a controller problem as the temp is pretty spot on at 180 and above. But, for someone like me who needs to have salmon, or other seafoods too I imagine, smoking at a very low temp for a couple hours before any real cooking, this is a huge problem with this machine. I wonder if others have the same experience with the lowest temp setting. Had I known, I would have seriously reconsidered.

Bradley 4 Rack Digital Smoker
The unit is overall well constructed (at initial setup) and looks like quality parts. The function of the unit is as they tout, highly controllable, although this is really an initial review, as I just purchased the smoker recently. The smoking system requires you purchase pre-manufactured pellets (proprietarty) which is not in itself bad, just not exactly sure of the process and binding agents involved with those (of concern to me). Also, I will need more time to ascertain the value/cost of the pellets vs. chips used in traditional style smokers. The racks are easy to access and overall the function is straight forward. The digital readout however is problematic with any background light (such as outdoors during daylight), the LED readout is difficult to read (not necessarily due to digit size) and located at the very bottom of the smoke injection unit, which is about 2 inches from ground level if unit is on floor/ground level. This makes any setting and/or adjustment trouble for anyone taller than 18" an issue in my mind. I will address the issue by supporting the unit at chest height so I can properly access controls. In defense of Bradley here, I can see why it is located as such, but that does not making operating the unit any easier. Cannot really address the reliability yet, but I would recommend the smoker if you accept the pellet method of getting smoking media and can mount/operate the unit on a bench or similar to get to the abundant controls.
