Most Helpful Negative Review Didn't work with a piston converted upper.
Has weird ridges inside where the bolt key rides and wouldn't slide on a Adams Arms piston carrier. Works ok on DI upper, but what are the ridges even for?

Fit and finish is very good. Ambidextrous handle is much better than single sided stock charging handle. And it does a much better job of directing gas away from my face when shooting suppressed than the stock charging handle.

my new favorite charging handle

The sledgehammer does a great job of gas redirection. Its not as tough as a radian raptor but its also half the price. I have a couple of these now on some rifles geared more to hunting and they are fantastic. Ive seen some forums talk about the roll pins coming out but that hasnt been my experience. Hard use rifles may need to watch the roll pins but i would still highly recommend.

This sledgehammer is awesome looking and it functions phenomenally. If your back and forth between the 3 major brands I see debated on gun bro sites and the comments always bring up the sledgehammer. Do it. Buy it.

My new go-to charging handle

I'll be getting this handle for any future builds. Much better than the Warhammer handle by Breek, and best price for value compared to other brands including Raptor, which is similar in build. The handles on the Warhammer are a little thin for my liking especially with heavier springs, and less comfortable to use. This one seems well built.

Smooth and effective.

I replaced a radian raptor SD handle with this.. much better. I’m using slip 2000 grease on my Bootleg BCG and the top and sides of the sledgehammer. SO nice with the slightly wider grip and more effective at gas mitigation with my MK18 and RC2 can than the raptor.
