Brenneke Green Lightning - Perfect Hog round from a Benelli M4
I have a Benelli M4 with a fixed modified choke. So this limits what slugs I can shoot from it. I read many places (including the ammo's box and website) that this Brenneke slug (and most other Brenneke slugs) perform well out of "any choke." I have an easy time hitting 100 yards with these slugs through my M4 with an Aimpoint T2. I'd imagine they're accurate out to much further, but 100 yards was as far as I was able to shoot with it.
Benelli M4 and Brenneke Green Lightning is a winning combo for me.
Green lightning slugs
Similar to the K.O.’s these slugs pack a punch from a smooth bore on deer, and pattern well.

Hits really hard and stays pointed forward
This is 1 1/4 ounce slug in 2 3/4 shell, which is tremendous and packs a wallop. Overkill for deer and bear and car doors. Recoil is tough in a short barrel pump and slows follow-up shots. But then again that same smoothbore barrel still shoots them accurate because the Brenneke style of lug stays point-forward, there is no keyholing to kill accuracy. Now I say accurate that means accurate for an 18" smoothbore, which really means only about 50 yards. If you had a rifled barreled 12 gauge with a 24" barrel you could go a lot farther, but then you should really be using a sabot round anyway.
