Most Helpful Positive Review tactical balls
deff good for what its made for. could be a little brighter and a strobe function would be helpful but over all a good product
Most Helpful Negative Review Tac Light Balls with carrying pouch
These are a great idea, just needs some improvements. Lights need to be brighter, and when thrown, or dropped on carpet they won't always stand light up. I guess in order to make a compact ball you have limited space for batteries and a high output light, but hey they will do the job to light up a d...

Ball lights.

by Lenny C., from IN, United States Written on December 30, 2018
I find that these lights are lacking for their intended use. If these had activation on landing with a high intensity strobe light setting. These would be a much better device. Add a high pitch high db alarm that activates with the strobe light. Then you would truly have an effective distraction device. As is, I found them to be great as an emergency lighting system for any occasion. I recently used them during a power outage. Bounced the light off the walls, and one effectively lit up the room. I also used them as yard lights for night parties in my backyard.
Pros:
  • Decent construction, good battery life. Easy to carry with you.
Cons:
  • No strobe mode, Not bright enough, Needs to be turned on before deployment
Best Used for:
  • Emergency or portable lighting source.

For Gen II

I like the general idea but since I just saw the $600 wrist watch light I know you guys can think big. These things need at least 700 lumens, strobe mode and rechargeable batteries. Maybe even 2 lights offset 90 deg. Maybe then, and as long as I am doing this wish list, how about a bluetooth remote control on the wristwatch light for them.

Good distraction device

by Mike, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on April 25, 2017
I bought some sonic grenades (basically it's a CO2 cartridge in a plastic shell) and this will go nicely with them. I tested dropping them downstairs and they seem to take the shock very well. They have a constant stream light that is fairly bright. The combination of the sonic grenade with the light should distract anyone long enough to evade them or do whatever else needs to be done. The one thing I wish they did was strobe. This is a constant stream light rather than a flashing light.
Pros:
  • bright
  • Robust
  • easy to deploy
Cons:
  • No strobe
  • no delay on light
Best Used for:
  • distraction

Tactical Balls

by Ken, from FL, United States Written on April 5, 2016
These tactical white LED rolling devices are fine and work as described.
It would be better, if the lights turned on when they landed after you threw them. Once you turn them on and throw them already illuminated, they give away your position.
If the light came on where and when the ball hit the ground, then you would definitely distract, whoever it is you are trying to distract, rather then draw attention to the source of the lighted ball flying through the air.
Pros:
  • small, light weight, easy to use.
Cons:
  • None
