Quality light to meduim weight knife and sheath.
The Browning "Committed" knife was very sharp out of the box. Appearance was as shown here with a nice even finish. The sheath works well and does retain the knife, which can be freed from the sheath with a medium jerk. There is a release assist on the sheath and it is on the blade side of the knife at the forefinger, however I have had no problems with fingers accidentally contacting the blade or serrations, so the sheath appears to work fine overall (there is no strap on my sheath, just the mechanical retention system built into the sheath). I have medium-sized meaty hands and the handle fits me comfortably with room to spare. The checkered OD green handle feels secure in the hand and looks good, as does the matching sheath which has a M.O.L.L.E. clip system on the back that works very well. I cut, hacked and sawed away on a 2x4 for a few minutes with this knife, and the blade still held a decent edge with no structural damage to the blade. Note: Because of the hollow grind, this blade is not very thick near the cutting edge. Afterwards, a few passes on the fine diamond bench stone and it was shaving sharp again. Serrations seemed to work well cutting into the board as well. Bottom line -- A great choice if you are looking for a light-medium weight hunting/tactical knife of this type.
