This is my first Browning knife, but I've liked the look of their 'Black Label' series and grabbed this during a sale.

It seems well constructed and was very sharp out of the box. The large hand guard is welcome and the grip feels excellent (both in shape and texture).

I'd wish for a slightly shorter taper to the blade. While the reach is nice, the extended narrowed tip makes me nervous about how it'd hold up under any unintended leverage. But.. it's a dagger, so in-n-out is really the only sanctioned use.

The sheath is rugged and versatile, but with some design problems. I like the push-to-release thumb wedge mechanism (any sheath that offers up a snap-less/vecro-less design gets a gold star for effort). But it's a tad cumbersome. It'll probably smooth/soften with use, which will help, but initially it takes a slow and very careful motion to go in either direction without making noise. Also, the flanges at the top take up enough space toward the knife handle that it doesn't leave as much room for your hand as would be necessary to have a solid grip right away -- you're left kind of cupping the back half of the handle.

Also, the belt clip mechanism is really thick, making what would otherwise be a very thin-profile combo into something that seems unnecessarily bulky. It also only came with two screws when it seems designed to need 4.

Lastly, I wish the pommel had a punch-point to give it utility as a striking surface and/or glass-breaker. That seems like a misse...
