Most Helpful Positive Review Blackout or Locked Out??
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice light. But for a $100 flashlight, I wasn't impressed. The light is not made to disassemble, except to change the batteries or the head buster. I can use a $20 flashlight from a auto parts store and spend $20 more on it and have a $40 flashlight that will shame this one..and many of the other "high end" flashlights. It's a shame that after purchasing the light and realizing..nope, can't disassemble, and the bulb malfunctions(not blaming Browning) that I could not swap it out for another one from the retailer it was purchased from. Blackout 6v 600 lumen light

by Trader kev, from ME, United States Written on June 12, 2020
Worked great, till emitter burned out, after 10 uses....the cons are far too many inherent flaws,in durability and design, which wont allow disassembly! I really liked low power,in car at nite, preventing temporary blindness.
Pros:
  • Very bright,very low power,on 2nd click,good at nite,in car!
Cons:
  • Gets very hot, cree emitter burned out ,w rechargeable batteries. Shortened life, and very disappointed,as i liked the design, overall. No warranty info, sealed,so one cant self repair. NOT Military or law enforcement reliable.
Best Used for:
  • ALL AROUND USE

flashlight overheats within 10 minutes

by Bo, from TN, United States Written on July 16, 2018
I have had this flashlight for about 1 1/2 years , using fresh 123A lithium batteries over several trials . ( I realize that lithium -ion batteries can run hot- but this is ridiculous)
I find that this light gets too hot to hold after only approximately 10 minutes.
This is a great flashlight , with a good bright beam - but useless if you casn't use it.
I would recommend that another flashlight be sought if you want to use one for any length of time whatsoever .
