Dan's Review of Browning BLR Scout-Style Mount Base

Good quality, second scout setup on these rifles. I do wish they moved away from the weaver mounts as it would open more options for the top. Leupold backcountry rings with their “cross-slot mount” fit it nicely, alloy and magnum rated (had to ask Leupold directly).
Pros:
  • Barrel mounted on takedown - repeat accuracy
  • Leupold back country cross slot fit
Cons:
  • Weaver mounts are becoming limited
  • several universal weaver mount rings did not fit
