Works great
Works as advertised. I've been using this outdoors on my paintball gear for about a year now with no issues, and it's put up with an awful lot of abuse. North is still north, and it's still pinned to my vest despite rolling around the woods constantly.

Could Always Use Another One . . . .
I have purchased several of these from Optics Planet in the last year for my equipment & relatives. Easy to read & attach to coat zippers, pack straps & pouches, or just toss it in a pocket. Great item for the price.

Brunton Ball Compass
I purchased several of these units for various purposes. I pinned one onto my dash mat in my truck, one on my ATV vest, and I gave one to each of my adult children. I have already broken one, the base broke off and the ball cracked. I still would recommend these, they are quick and accurate, but if your are heading out to the middle of nowhere, I would carry a more durable compass to read with your map. Good value for the money.
