After 20 years of surveying I still like to get out in the mountains and explore with quad maps and a compass. I recently purchased a quad map tool and a map measure tool for coordinates and distances. These tools help me plan my trips better so I get an idea of how long I will need to allow and what to expect to find there.
Pros: Easy to use, adequate accuracy, convenient
