Most Helpful Positive Review Majestic 6-24x44 First Review
I just mounted this bsa 6-24x44 on my Remington 770 /308 cal. I had a muzzle brake installed to reduce the recoil and prevent damage to the scope as it is not a $500.00 scope. I shot it at the range today after sighting it in and as both the scope and rifle are both new time will let me know if it will hold zero after some final tweeking on my adjustments. As for today I was on paper at 50 yds. only 3 " from center, 4 more rounds and adjustments and shot 2" group. At 100yds. shot 5 rounds and got 3to 4 " group was quite windy at range, also gun has only had 20 rounds through it so fa.r. will ...

BSA Majestic 6x24x44

by Neil, from KY, United States Written on February 15, 2015
Mounted this scope on a Ruger American 22-250 Compact. First, I was very impressed with how this scope responded to adjustments. Clicks were dead-on and I had gun sighted with just 3 shots at a hundred without bore sighting. The side parallax adjustment also works great. You can visually see the adjustments as you turn. Turrets also are very low profile and I like how you can see over scope quickly if needed. This scope does not look like a large magnification scope when mounted and it does not greatly increase weight of gun. It goes very well with my compact setup. The scope is very clear especially on the 10 power required for elevation tick mark usage on reticle. It does get a little hazy on max 24 power but still usable. Overall, I really like this scope. So far it has out performed scopes I have costing 3 times as much. I will definitely be buying another in the future.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Accurate adjustments
  • Weight
  • Low profile
  • lifetime warranty
Cons:
  • A Little Hazy at Max Power
Best Used for:
  • target
  • Predators Open Country

Have 3 of this scope

by Donald, from TX, United States Written on August 21, 2014
Purchased my first one shortly after BSA made it available in what I recall is 2011. Will buy two more of them. Decent scope for the price. Have had them on a variety of rifles, from .223 to 30-06s. Just a retired guy here who goes to shooting range 2 to 3 times a week to shoot paper. Generally take several of my centerfire rifles to try my reloads and quite often have at least one of my BSA DX Hunter scoped rifles with me. Had one with me today. My point in mentioning this is all three of them have seen a fair number of rounds fired downrange with them mounted. Zip problems with them holding zero. Turrets for windage and elevation have functioned well for me. 99% of time I have the scopes on 24 power. While the optic clarity of my Majestics does not match the clarity of my much more expensive scopes (4x more expensive) in this power range, I've no complaints about it.....see my 100 yd targets and the bullet holes in them quite well.
Also, the side focus for parallax on mine are pretty accurate.

Only complaint I have is the reticle. The scope is the DX Hunter....and a hunting reticle it is. I'd like a finer reticle for my paper shooting, but it does OK for my paper shooting.
