Most Helpful Positive Review COMD624X40RGBGE
overall quality is ok, I use it on an airgun. The reticle with bsa triangle system is very useful, turrets and mag indexes are fluorescent with low light conditions, I think this is useful for hunting purpose. With 40mm obj, at 24x the image darken, but the overal quality glass is ok. The bad is t...

Most Helpful Negative Review Great Scope....But.
I bought the scope with the illuminated reticle option. The problem is that the reticle, when lit, is invisible except in very late dusk or dark even at the highest setting. Useless, in other words, since I don't shoot in the dark. Perhaps useful for a sniper in very low light conditions. So, if...

BSA Contender 6-24 X 40mm Rifle Scope

by TWS, from FL, United States Written on August 9, 2016
First let me say that I have an older model of this same scope that I have been pleased with for a long time. In an effort to save money I bought this current model scope for a 22mag rifle. My main complaint is if you move your eye from center a fraction you will loose the sight picture and on higher powers you will spend more time trying to obtain a sight picture than actually shooting.

Great Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from FL, United States Written on March 15, 2014
Have been shooting this scope on my 22 for smallbore silhouette competition. Over 4000 rounds and it is still going strong. The contender reticle has been great. I have multiple aiming points that enable me to shoot at the different distances without having to adjust the turrets. The glow in the dark turret markings may of had a selling point in the board room, but in reality it is worthless. That is the only gripe that I have and it does not affect shooting, so who cares.
Pros: Contender reticle, clear optics
Cons: glow in the dark markings

Not the best value.

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on May 31, 2012
When adjusting the eyepiece focus, the reticle wil actually move changing the point of impact- not acceptable.
Pros: Features and relatively sharp optics
Cons: Zero/ point of impact does not remain constant

review after year

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on May 14, 2012
Have had this scope on AR for about a year. Have put about 1000 rounds through the rifle. Scope holds zero. Clear glass. The knobs for adjusting were very difficult at first. They have loosened up now. You still have to be carefull or they will mess up your zero. But, for the price still a good scope.

Usability

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on December 12, 2011
Overall a scope that give more that you expected for the price you pay.

Sure, it wouldn't compare to brand names like Zeiss and Leupold, but then again, its the question of 'Do you want to see the deer or the fleas on the deer.
Pros: Excellent value for money
Cons: Clarity can't compare to brands like Leupold
