Legacy Reviewer's Review of Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 Rifle Scope 321040M Rifle scope

This is my second 3200 Elite scope. I needed a mildot scope to put on a Mk14 SOPMOD for a tactical match and didn't want to plunk down cash for a Night just yet so I figured I'd try a low cost model to experiment. Turns out this particular 10X 3200 is thought of well enough that it's actually mentioned in sniper books. Btw, these 3200's are assembled in the same factory in Japan that assembles NightForce.

On to performance. The turrets are easy to work, click adjustments are good enough 1/4 minute accurate, and most important the movement is repeatable.

I took this thing out of the box and shot it cold turkey (zero in during sighters) in a 3x600 MR match using M118 LR ammo and pulled a 94% score out of it with plenty of 10's and X's. I actually find the 10X sight picture more comfortable than the one in the 15X Unertl on my match rifle. Enough magnification and image clarity to get the job done with less pulse bumping around in the image.

I logged all my zeros and compared the come ups to my ballistics program for the gun, ammo, sight height combination. Perfect tracking. For example, 200-to-600 was 13.5 MOA on the turret and 13.57 MOA indicated from the computer. Doesn't get any better than that. I had it mounted perfectly vertical with the rifle so even the dope correction for the gyroscopic drift dialed in dead on.

The next weekend I took it to a practice session for tactical shooting and was easily bagging 2 mph movers at 600 yards leading it using the mildots. The mils are dead on to the computed leads, but that is one of the nice things one expects from a fixed power tactical scope. There's enough image clarity and color to track a typicaltarget against a green/brown backround no problem.

Bottom line is I'm getting results where it counts. This was a good purchase.
Pros: 10X fixed power simplicity.
Cons: Haven't run across anything not to like yet.
