Arrived non functioning, loose blade, and huge gaps in the handle - Buck Knives 110 Auto Elite 3.75in Automatic Folding Knives

As a lifelong Buck owner, I was excited about the new Buck 110 autos. I ordered one as soon as I realized they existed. I was severely disappointed when I received my knife, however, as it would not open. I cleaned, oiled, and worked it back and forth, but they knife wouldn't open reliably. In addition, the blade was loose, and the handle scales had huge gaps you could see through on both sides of the locking bar. To make matters worse, I sent the knife back to Buck for warranty. The customer service rep said this was a one in a million lapse in quality control, and if I sent it in, they would send me a new knife within a day or day of arrival. After a few weeks go by, I contact customer service again, and now they tell me they can't just ship the knife back to me because its against the law to sale auto knives across state lines, and warranty work is a gray area. I can not recommend this knife.
