My experience with the Omni Buck Knife
The 1 star reviewer is probably a competitor so I would not pay much attention to it. I just bought my second one, it is the best skinning knife I own and wouldn't own anything but a Buck. Has a very wide blade and a handy gut hook on the top so you do not have to get out a separate gut hook. Will hold an edge without having to stop and re sharper in the middle of skinning an elk or bear. Handle is one of the most ergonomic of the many knives I own.
Will not slip while inside the chest cavity. Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth.

Pros:
- You name it!
Cons:
- Zero
Best Used for:
- Unzipping and skinning
Would recommend: Yes
Great Blade
The knife came out of the box with a excellent edge on the blade and felt great in my hands. However, the first time I used it a screw must have fallen out and it fell apart while skinning an elk and the blade collapsed while in the field. The screw disappeared in the growth on the ground but I was able to find the other two pieces that fell out. I plan on sending back as soon as possible.
Pros:
- Good blade
Cons:
- Poor Design of folding mechanism.
Best Used for:
- Garbage
