Very good, not great - Burris XTR II 1-5x24mm Illuminated Rifle Scope

When comparing side by side with the 1-6 razor hd I went with a Burris XTRII 1-5. At 1x the Razor beat out the Burris in that the Burris has some blurring on the outside rim of the glass, it doesn't affect aiming at all or target acquisition but it is still there while the Razor was pretty clear edge to edge. But at 1.5 to 5 the Burris matched the Razor pretty much in glass clarity and definition, eyebox and FOV ( at least to my eyes). Burris is also a bit lighter.. maybe about 4 oz. and I preferred the mil/circle/dot reticle of the Burris to any of the Vortex offerings. The illumination is great. Only gripes i have with the XTRII 1-5 is the length ( 11.25) and a bit of distortion at the edges at 1x. Not a perfect scope but it easily surpasses any other sub $1000 dollar low power scope and compares well to many that cost more.
