Most Helpful Positive Review Burris Veracity 2X10 at 500 yards
So far this scope is everything Burris says it is. It is outstanding in low light. The optics are so good I can see bullet holes (on white paper) at 200 yards on 10X. I spent a few hours shooting at 500 yards today. The cross hairs and optics are perfectly clear and precise. With the scope zeroed in at 200 yards I simply set the dial to zero and cranked it up until I got good hits at 500 yards. Turn the dial back to zero and I'm on at 200 yards again. At 2X it's a brush scope too. It's a worthy scope at a fair price. Just remember that it is not a small scope. Not too big but not sma...

Nice scope

by ChrisH, from NM, United States Written on July 9, 2015
I've got the Fullfield E1 with this reticle on another rifle, the reticle is tiny no matter what power I'm at. This one grow due to being FFP, easy to see at 10X. Mounted sighted in at 100yds and all marks were just right out to 500 yards. This with irons mounted at 45 degrees should make this a great 3 Gun rifle.

Veracity 2-10x Ballistic E1 review

by ThreeOhEightHunter, from OH, United States Written on January 1, 2015
I bought this scope sight unseen to put atop my Tikka T3 Lite .308 Win. I chose this particular scope mainly for the Ballistic E1 reticle, and I also thought that having a FFP scope would be really nice. The quality of the scope seemed good. It has fairly positive clicks. Not the best, but not the worst and should be O.K. for a hunting scope. The clarity and color was good, but it did lose some sharpness around the edges. Low light performance seemed to be quite good for a scope in this price range. I compared it to my Zeiss Conquest 3-9x, and while I would give the edge to the Zeiss, my eyes really didn't pick up a whole lot of difference. The glass should be O.K. quite a few minutes before and after legal hunting hours, but the reticle may be hard to pick up on low power because it does get quite small. It may be O.K. in an open field with some lighter colored grass as a backdrop, but will probably be tough to see in low light in the woods with a dark backdrop.

I really like the reticle, and if you look at the bullet drop stats for the subtensions on Burris' website, you will find that it's a nearly identical match for Federal Premium 150 Gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip .308 Win ammo, which is what I hunt with. Hornady's Custom 150 Gr. SST loads are also very close, so on paper it's a great match for the ammo I use. Real world results may be different. I was excited about the FFP reticle, but after receiving the scope, I realized that it's probably kind of useless in a 2-10x...

Great for the price range

by BobbyBeta, from MD, United States Written on December 23, 2014
I am very impressed with this scope. The glass is clear, the ffp reticle balance between size at low and high magnification is well done, almost just looks like a standard crosshair at 2x and all the drop indicators are very easy to see at 10x. I was looking for a general purpose, variable, low-power scope that would be functional even at close ranges for dangerous game, in that end this isn't quite as usable inside 50 yards as I'd like, and I'd like the parallax to be adjustable down to 25 yards, but it bottoms out at 50 yards. That said, this is still a great scope for the price range. The optics are very clear, the eye box is generous, windage and elevation clicks are nice and tactile, fit and finish are great, scope looks and feels durable, and while I haven't used it very hard yet I've had no problems with my zero throughout the magnification range so far.
Pros:
  • High quality
  • reticle
  • Glass Quality
  • has parallax adjustment
Cons:
  • parallax bottoms out at 50y
