Most Helpful Positive Review Coyote hunter
Bought this scope for a Winchester Model 70 25-06 for coyote and deer hunting. The optics are amazing and also clarity. The lightening helps for night coyote hunting. Excellent 1st focal point lens as I have bad eyes.

Burris XTR II

Great sale price on a quality optic. I haven't bought a scope with exposed turrets. I like them for use at the range. Time will tell how they hold up for hunting. The glassis great for the price paid and tracking is excellent. The magnification range 2x10 was perdect for the 6.5 Grendel build.

Meh for steep discounted price. Nah for regular price.

Turrets track well, but zero stops are stupid and complicate zeroing. The 0.5 Mil scale area is great, but the 10 Mil spread and relatively skinny outside bars make the lower powers less useful, especially for standing bullseye shooting. Parallax only goes down to "50yds", so indoor dryfiring is difficult. Illumination is near useless outdoors. Heavy sumbeach at 2.5lbs with Q.D. PEPR mount. All knobs are firm, but smooth.

Main gripe: 0.6" varying eye relief thru the power range is more to the eye than I thought it would be. Eye relief is shortest at low power and longest at high power which is a nuisance for multipositional shooting.
Pros:
  • Tracking
Cons:
  • Subpar feature performance

Awesome scope

Very clear, durable, and reliable. Turrets are very nice, has all the high end features of top tier scope and the price of an entry level HD scope.
It's tested to be the most reliable scope in returning to zero and tracking.
