Most Helpful Positive Review Love it!
Put this scope on my Ruger Blackhawk .41 mag. These old eyes couldn't hit squat anymore with open sites! Now, two inch groups at 30 yrds. Feel confident enough now to use it the rest of the hunting season.(one nice 8 pt. already in the freezer) OpticsPlanet is a GREAT company to work with....no prob...

Most Helpful Negative Review Difficult to keep on target
Handheld on a revolver, at arms' length, it was not really doable. On a rest it wouldn't be a problem. Sent it back since my intended use is handheld. Shipping was a hassle and there was zero customer service from OP when I needed it. None. No responses to my concerns. Not bent out of shape, j...

It is a very good product Clear glass, fit and finish is what you can expect from Burris, functions as I expected, Price is excellent, The only negative was the shipping although it was free Fedex mess it up.Fedex sent it to a Portland address instead of my Gresham Address. When I called Optics Planet They sent out another scope rite away but true to form fedex showed up three days later with the original shipment. I called O/P again got a RA label sent the second scope back. Thanks Opticsplanet.

Burris 2x20 pistol scope

by Bill, Verified Owner from NJ, United States Written on October 11, 2024
This is the second Burris 2x20 pistol scope I have. The first one is in black and mounted on a Smith&Wesson model17 with 6” barrel. I bench this gun and usually shoot to 50 yards.Sometimes I’ll go to 75 yards. I’m 74 yrs old, so naturally the eyes aren’t what they used to be. This new one is now mounted on a Ruger Mark 4 Competition model with a 6.8” barrel. They both have clear glass and the eye relief is good. I guess u could call me a competitive pinker. I also have a Smith&Wesson model17 and a model 18. They are both from the early 80’s, and I just use the open sights on these two at 25 yards. I would like to be able to put a red dot on each, but I’m not going to have them drilled for mounts. It’s very hard to find a low power pistol scope nowadays,so I would definitely recommend this Burris.
Pros:
  • clear glass and reticle
  • Clear glass & Reticle
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hunting and recreational shooting

Great Burris scopes

by J.T., Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on June 29, 2024
I use Burris scopes on a number of my Rifles , so it did not surprise me that this pistol scope was excellent. The fit, clarity, and look on my S&W “X” Frame is great. During bore sighting and test firing, the accuracy and reliability of aim is truly Burris Quality. Well done again gentlemen !

Clear image and generous range of eye relief

by clueless, from WA, United States Written on December 12, 2022
I have two of these scopes on T/C Contender barrels. Although only 2X magnification, having crosshairs and such good clarity of image are all that most would need for shooting out to 100 yards. This scope also has quite a wide range of eye relief: 10-24". One will not get this with any of the higher power handgun scopes, or at any magnification with a variable handgun scope regardless of cost. ( Including the Burris 2-7 ) Many of those max out at 15", which I find to not be long enough. For some rounds it might be nice to have a 3X option, but I would not trade any of the good qualities of this 2x20 to get a little more magnification. I also have tried some lower price handgun scopes but they all came with some compromise in optical quality. I have not put enough miles on these to say any more about durability other than that I have not had any issues sighting in or holding zero.
