Most Helpful Positive Review Outstanding Rifle Scope
Very, very happy with this scope! I have the Balisitc Mil-Dot with the illuminated reticle. Super clear very sharp detail. Windage and Elevation turrets are easy to use, set after zero and read. Venier scale on turrets a plus and so are screw on turret protectors. Excellent value for the money ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Won't hold zero
First scope wouldn't hold vertical zero. Had to use duct tape to get through a sniper class. Burris sent me another scope no charge. A little better, but still has zero problems. Might be good on 5.56, not .308. Pros: Good customer service Cons: Not good on .308 rifle

i have a burris xtr. i think. i have owned it about two years. i have sent it in for warrenty twice. first time would not return to zero. second time the parralax knob locked and the scope went blurry. this time they have had it 4 months now(as in i still do not have it back yet). they claim the problem was a bent tube and that is not warrenty. their customer service tells me i should be happy they are replacing it because it is a courtesey. great forever warrenty. unless i bent the tube putting the the cased rifle in my back seat or taking it out of the safe. have have got cheap scopes warrentied easier than this and less often.

Pros: good glass
Cons: bad customer service

XTR 312

by Legacy Reviewer, from CO, United States Written on February 20, 2011
Recently purchased this to replace a Nikon Monarch. Unbelieveably clear, easy set up for my POF P308. I compared the MonarchX 4-16 X 50SF, and the NF NXS 3.5-15 X 50 MLR. This scope was made for the .308 and very happy to have saved mucho coin. I bought the ballistic mildot. Could not be happier.
Pros: Tons of feature for the price
Cons: SFP

Good scope!

Good glass, returnable zero, holds up well on my Tikka 308.

Not sure how duct tape help a previous reviewer get through a class. Sounds like a rings/mount issue and not a scope issue to me.

Now that I'm experienced with Mil-Dots I would pass on the Ball-Plex in favor of mil-dot only.

Burris has a no questions asked warranty and they stand behind their products!
