Most Helpful Positive Review Repeatability Test ...
This is a follow-up to my initial review - WOW! It's better than I expected. Once zero (or near) is set, I have just shy of +55 MOA of elevation with bedded 20 EGW MOA picatinny rail. Ammo used: leftover .270 Win handload (150 NBT, 55.5 H4350, WLR, RP brass) before the re-barrel. Rifle used: .270 AI I wish I can attached a picture but I did a 12-shot series @ 100 yards in my attempt to test the zero repeatability. Each shot is consist of 2 random elevation adjustments (from zero to X elevation and then back to zero) and + and - windage adjustments (from zero to L then back to zero ...

Burris veracity is now the only rifle scope line I use.

by Willy260, from NE, United States Written on February 7, 2019
Cannot say enough good things about the Burris veracity line of scopes. I currently have 3 4×20-50 scopes. Adjustments are precise with audible clicks. Crystal clear glass. FFP E1 varmint reticle is very accurate for bullet drop and 10 mph windage hold.
Pros:
  • very durable
  • Precise adjustments, exceptionally clear glass
Cons:
  • None

Super impressed

by Stever, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on May 6, 2018
I am very impressed with the quality of this scope. I have a number of Leupold, Vortex, Trijicon, Bushnell, Nikon and Primary Arms optics. The Burris has not been to the range yet so I will update this review after that happens. But out of the box everything I see is very impressive. Glass and clarity is very good, the retical is outstanding. Fit and finish is as good as anything in my collection. The warranty is is on par with Leupold, Vortex and Nightforce, but at a substantial cost savings for a FFP optic. It’s all about light and zero hold so I’ll let you know how it performs soon. So far thumbs way up for Burris.
Pros:
  • Quality, light gather, retical, fit and finish
Cons:
  • None found yet
Best Used for:
  • Target and long distance shooting

Awesome scope

by JT, from TX, United States Written on May 24, 2017
Not a better deal out there for a FFP quaility scope. Great value and I looked at everything sub $900 and nothing touches this or the rect. I compared to Vortex and Leupold but couldn't even get that feature set I wanted under $1k. Plus I got a smoking deal so that made it a no brainer. I am also picking up the 25x version.

Veracity 3 x 15 and 4x 20

by KK, from KS, United States Written on September 3, 2016
I have 2 of the Veracity scopes now. The first was a 3x15 I put on a Rem. 700 XTR in 260rem. Took it to the range to see how the E1 FFP reticle matched up with the 2 loads I had for it. The first load was 95g Vmax at 3161 fps. This is how it worked out Zero at 200y, the 1st cross hair down was good at 300y, 2nd was + 1 1/2" @400, 3rd was + 2 1/2" @ 500.
The second load for it was 120g Barnes TTSX @ 2785 fps. Zero @ 100y, 1st CH was on @ 200y, 2nd was on @ 300y, 3rd was 4" low @ 400y, 5th was really close to zero at 500y.
I liked so well I purchased a 4x20 with the E1FFP Varmint reticle for my 7STW this is how it worked out with 140 Burger VLDs @ 3450fps. 1st tick mark above center was on @ 150y, 0 at 310 yds. 1st CH down was 1" low at 400y, 2nd was dead on @500.
These scopes are very clear, reticles are crisp and crosshairs are not to thick. The Burris Ballistics website is very close to my results at the range. Great value for 1st focal plane scopes. Turret adjustments retuned to zero very well.
Pros:
  • clearity
  • Turrets settable to zero
  • 1st focal plane
Cons:
  • Turret clicks are weak and can be hard to distinguish
  • slightly heavy
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • Target shooting

Burris Veracity scope

by TiKo, from PA, United States Written on January 21, 2016
As always....the best price, the normal great delivery and a no worry guarantee. The scope is clear and has turrets that can be turned without a coin or screwdriver. The fine cross hairs will not block out a target at long distance. As magnification increases the reticle size also increases giving precise spacing of its features at all levels of magnification. A lifetime warranty that is honored no matter who owns the scope adds value to the product and credibility to the Burris name. This is my second high end Burris product and I am literally excited about exploring long range hunting and target shooting with it
Pros:
  • Great price, great scope, outstanding quality and warranty.
Cons:
  • None

Awesome Scope

by Seeing clearly, from IL, United States Written on December 26, 2015
Love this scope! We checked it out at a big box store then found it on your site for $100 less. Once it arrived we were amazed when we could read the numbers on the license plates at 150 yards. Matt from Tech support is awesome, he has answered a couple of questions for us in detail and in a timely manner. We would highly recommend this scope and Optics Planet.

Good glass better price

by kyle, from IN, United States Written on December 18, 2015
Placed this on a Ruger PR in .308 sighted in at 100 yards and warne Xtra High rings. The glass was very clear and added light to the big objective. Zero stops were easy to use. Range focus was accurate and hellful. Worth every penny.

Bad: the cheap eyepiece flip cap.

Nick of time!

by John, from OK, United States Written on February 23, 2015
I waited more than a month for a Vortex scope to be shipped, and resigned myself to wait another if necessary. Thinking about how happy I was with my last two scopes, both Burris, I went back to the "Optics" menu and found this Veracity scope that met my criteria AND had a First Focal Plane reticle. Very useful info and ease of use of this reticle, along with Burris' reputation made the switch an instant proposition. I have to say I'm over-the-moon happy with the scope's glass and overall quality and will continue to look to Burris for all future scopes (have owned 16 from 6 different mfrs).
