The Burris XTR Ballistic Mil-Dot scope that I purchased from OpticsPlanet provides me with the perfect platform to go with my Kimber Tac 8400. Burris incorporated so many user friendly features into the XT-1000 "3" adj. knobs.{windage, elevation & parallax adj distance indicator}.Since I target shot in all weather conditions & at varied times of the day,the XTR lenses have been designed to provide overall brightness, clarity and high resolution in a tactical scope that is water & fog proof. Remember the "Scope" makes the rifle!!!
Pros: Superior tactical scope,Well thought out design of adjustment knobs
Cons: None

This is the second Burris scope that I have purchased. Two other brands prior developed issues that should have not occurred. The Burris cost a little more, but I am getting what I paid for and then some. These will last quite some time and should they have a problem they will be covered by warranty and good customer service. Also found out that Optics Planet helps their customers also, if a problem develops.
Pros: Clarity, construction, cost, quality
Cons: none
Would recommend: Yes

After going through a couple of mid range scopes decided to purchase my first Burris 8-32x50 Black Diamond. If you decide on this, for long distance work, would recommend the Mil Dot reticle and the 1/4" MOA adjustment. You can immediately tell you have gotten what you paid for, It has worked out so well after numerous uses, that I plan on ordering another . The next one will be the same for my .243 Savage. adjustments are quick and readable and solid to the feel. Also made in America and a solid warranty. The only bad thing about ordering from optics planet, they are so quick, by the time I send this I will have to get up and go to the door to get my package. Thanks crew.
Pros: Clear glass, all adjustments are solid quality seems very good
Cons: There is a film of oil from assembly on the objective lens that is tough to clean off.

I purchased this scope along with medium Burris XTR rings for my Tikka T3 Tactical. The scope itself was fairly easy to setup. I still feel that I could've went with small rings and still have enough clearance between objective and a barrel.
Fine Plex reticle is really razor thin, not like pictured in the description. So, if you're used to thick ones, this one might surprise you. I've had some trouble focusing it initially.
Windage and elevation adjustments are good, however, there are no pronounced clicks, so it's a little confusing. The scope comes with a sun hood.
Pros: solid construction, good price, bright
Cons: clicks are hard to feel, reticle
