I have iron sights and an easily attachable 3-9 variable scope for this rifle but felt i needed something more appropriate for general use. This sight has clear optics and a usable elevation indicator. It also functions fine without being illuminated during the day which saves the battery and makes it immediately functional without having to turn on the sight. Also 3 power is a good all around power for this rifle useful out to 100 yards and beyond but quick to apply in short range situations. When zeroing, my buddies were impressed with the fit and finish. This is a serious scope.
