This monocular is a great value. The image quality is competitive with the established names in Thermal products and at a lower price, includes some great extra features.
The picture in picture mode is a feature i have used in pulsar products and really love how it lets you see details while maintaining a wide fov so i love that Burris included that in their thermal monocular.
Controls are easy to use and fairly intuitive. The ocular focus has a large range which is great as it allows you to get a very defined image of your target. Color palettes are easy to scroll through and can be helpful in some situations but mostly i prefer the white hot mode.
There is a tripod socket for super stable viewing but where that feature really shines is when you used the wifi remote viewing capability. You can setup the thermal monocular where you need it and view it from the comfort of your hunting blind or living room. Only caveat to that is the focus cannot be adjusted remotely so make sure to adjust that before you leave. When you dont need the wifi, you can turn on the energy saver mode to get the most life out of the battery.
The Hot Tracker feature is an interesting concept but that is one feature i have not significantly utilized yet. It seems to work fairly well in my limited use.
The smooth zoom is another great feature, although the display only shows the zoom factor (1-4x) and not the actual magnification (3.3-13.2x).
