No quality control - Burris Droptine 4.5-14x42mm 1in Tube Second Focal Plane (SFP) Rifle Scope

This was a Burris Droptine 4.5 to 14X scope. I purchased this scope because I thought Burris had a reputation for American built quality. Apparently, the person that made this particular scope let this one slip by. First, I could not get a sharp focus at 14x. But worst of all the reticle was off center. I have never come across a scope with an off center reticle before. I sent it back to Optics Planet in exchange for a Vortex. If this one is bad I will spend the extra money and go back to a Leupold
