Most Helpful Positive Review Clarity, Quality, and Ingenuity
I have been testing out the new Burris Eliminator 6, and I've been thoroughly impressed with it. Let's start with the basics. The glass quality is incredible with brightness that rivals the best German glass out there. The build quality is phenomenal as the scope body is robust, turrets are very tactile and beautifully knurled, and it just feels extremely durable through and through. The technology is where this thing really flourishes. While other scopes that have auto-aiming capabilities are similar, where Burris stands out is the fact that it's an all-in-one solution. Burris Eliminator 6 4-20x52mm

by Brian Rowland, Verified Owner from MS, United States Written on November 25, 2025
So I have the Eliminator 3 and the 5. The changes made to the 5 were pretty substantial in my opinion. The glass was much better on the gen5.
The Eliminator 6 is like a different scope all together ! Everything is different, and changed for the better, at least so far. The glass is much much clearer and the images are sharp out to 1000 yards. I haven't shot further than that yet. Sighted it at 100, then shot 300,550,750 and 1000 yards. 5 shots and I can finally say zero misses with this 6gen. All on 8 inch steels. Was 2 inches low at 300, 550 was less than an inch high and at 1000 was closer to perfect than I've ever shot, I hit the bottom half of the bullseye! I'm just a deer hunter, I shoot at the beginning of the season and that's about it. So if you're on the fence about buying another eliminator version thinking you'll be mad all over again, this one is the one to buy.
Pros:
  • Works great
Cons:
  • None for me
Best Used for:
  • Hunting and target long range

Elim 6 Predator rifle

by MartyP, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on August 8, 2024
Installed on a Remington 700 in 243. Used mainly as a large predator rifle. Shots mostly within 600yds.
The scope allows much quicker acquisition of your shot. Often you have seconds to acquire, and take a shot before the varmint is running away.

It was straightforward to set up. So far shots to 300yds on critters has been spot on. Haven't had opportunity to take longer shots yet, but I will.

Laser rangefinder is quick and much easier than a separate unit, and looking at dope card, and doing adjustments. It is easy, push a button, acquire, and bang.

This is installed on my 'hunting' rifle, and it serves that purpose well. I probably would not use this on a long range (>1000yds) gun, as other scopes are more suited for that task. But for a longer range hunting scope, this one is sweet... Very happy with it so far...
Pros:
  • Easy mount, and setup.
  • Electronics are easy to use
Cons:
  • Took forever to find one to buy
Best Used for:
  • hunting within 1000yds
  • great for larger predators

34mm tube, not 30mm tube.

by Careful Reviewer, from OH, United States Written on February 17, 2024
Description needs to be amended.based on the Burris manufacturer website specifications. This scope posseses a 34mm main tube diameter, not a 30mm tube diameter indicated in the title, which is misleading when people consider what mount or rings to use with this scope.
