KG's Review of Burris Fullfield E1 6.5-20x50mm 1in Tube Second Focal Plane (SFP) Rifle Scope

I have a Burris on a .338 LM which functions better than I do. Just looking for another scope for yet another rifle I just had to have.
One review said his scope didn't have any vertical adjustment when mounted. Here is what I found a long time ago.
I install the mount(s), and then use a laser in the chamber to fire down the middle of the barrel. I just lay the new Scope in the bottom half of the mount(s) with both elevation and horizontal adjustments directly in the middle of their numbers. I have a tree at 90-feet with a small sheet of white paper with black lines vertical and horizontal on it. This compares the position of the laser beam with the center of the scope. It needs to be about the same distance as that from the laser-dot to the middle reticle of the scope; generally most are about 2-1/2 inches vertical. Anything much different either horizontal or vertical might suggest an adjustment with the base.
You will notice there is usually a difference in the thickness of the barrel back by the bolt as compared to the thickness out on the barrel.
If this doesn't make any sense, just ignore it. I'm just fussy. Most people have a gunsmith install the scope.
