Good and Bad

Mounted this on a Remington 1100 with a slug barrel, factory sights, hard to see and rear sight is not very rugged.
Sight seems fine, good adjustments for brightness, the mount on the other hand, needs to be more rigid. After every shot my red dot ends up below the factory front sight. Was hoping to eliminate the factory sights altogether, glad I kept them now. Will try to shim sight into place, but I shouldn’t have to.

Used and damaged

$260 for a used and damaged part right out of the box. It was laying in peices when i opened it up and missing parts. Also the sight itself was scratched up. Pay attention not to buy the models that are marked "demo".

Perfect for rifle shooter

I have never considered myself great with a shotgun. I decided to try this on my SBE II instead of a bulky scope. It was easy to install, however, there is a small headless set screw at the back to raise the back of the sight. It was not long enough to get the front lowered enough. I was looking at hardware store for a longer one, but wound up getting a small all thread. Cut it to length and dremeled a slot for screwdriver. Was easier than it sounds mainly because my son actually did it for me.

No OP problem ,its burris

Optics planet was very helpful with getting a replacement out ,but after going through 2 redots being sent out , burris said they shipped a bunch of units with over sized batteries rather than having this info availble on there website or recall or anything, so if you are having a issue where you just cant screw the battery cap on , its the battery i purchased an energizer brand and it fit and had no trouble screwing in the battery cap, but the damage has been done to this second model , currently in contact with burris so they can get me a replacement, dont wanna trouble OP because this is not there issure.

Great optic, weak mount

The FF YouTube FF 3 Spead Bead mounting demonstration is using an A400 Xtreme Plus. Try looking that one up. After mounting the 410677 SB, the red dot the point of impact was 1 ft. low at top of adjustment. Some customer modifications will be needed to align dot to needed elevation if mounting to this gun. A shim will be added to rear of mount to sure up sight. The service department at Burris was very helpful

works great installation not simple

Product took approximately 1 hour to install. I had to grind certain areas of the stock to get a good fit. I wasn’t expecting that much trouble. Once installed, it works great and tracked well when sighting in. Seems to hold up well with the recoil of 3.5” shells.

Easy to use, not so easy to install

Giving 4 stars only cause the install was not as smooth as they say in the instructions.
I installed on an 870 and the mounting plate that goes between the stock and receiver is not as big and beefy as pictured. It was rather flimsy and had 5 little tabs that i am guessing are supposed to go around the receiver? they do not, not matter how tight you make the bolt.
Have it sighted in, but have not hunted with it yet, but from talking to friends that have one, it seems like it will get the job done

awesome sight

the burris speed bead was easy to install. I have 2 of them. they both work great. I am 52 and my eyes dont work as well as they once did. this sight really increased my hit percentage. it is well worth the money in my opinion.

Doesnt work right

I ordered the FF3 with the speedbead to mount on my 1187. The mount is flemsy and the dot moves after every shot. The guy that put the mount on for me busted my stock. So I am out another $170 to replace that. I have ordered a picatinni mount to replace the speedbead but I still need to have the receiver tapped so I can mount the sight. I am very disappointed with this product. Reluctant to purchase another Burris product.

Works well.

Bought this and was able to fit on my beretta a300 outlander. Little modification required but nothing to extensive or complicated. Fixes my cross eye dominant issue, am able to shoot with both eyes open! Also holds zero well.
