This product review - Burris Timberline 4.5-14x32 Rifle Scope w/ Ballistic Plex Reticle

It appears that my selection of a Burris Timberline 4.5-14X32 Riflescope w/ Ballistic Plex Reticle for use on a Marlin 45-70 1895CB with Kwik-Site see through mounts was a good idea. The reputation of Burris products in the optics world speaks for itself, especially the Timberline models and the performance in it's designated environment. Use high powered calibers in thick vegetation, extreme hour to hour climate conditions, and beat the scope on the rocks, it will maintain performance. I use 405 grain round nose flat points and after 30 to 40 rounds did not encounter problems. The scope provides plenty of reticle adjustment, reticle sight focus in normal hunting lighting conditions, and a clear picture. I now have no need for long range scopes with large objectives and was not prepared for the personal adjustment needed in using limited field of view at higher magnifications with smaller objectives, so do not make the same assumption. It does not have any relation to the scope's quality, just plain old physics. Another plus is that this scope's objective adjustment actually matches the yardage indication on the objective lens adjustment ring. That is a nice issue to encounter. It causes a smoother alignment process when aligning the bullet to actual flight characteristics as opposed to paper ballistics. I have no regrets. As always, Optics Planet order and delivery process is painless, unlike other on line retailers that surprise you with cost over runs in the checkout process. Also, I have never had problems with Optics Planet on the rare occasion of an item return. You stick with what you know!
