My first experience with Burris goes back 20 yrs+. A 30 Herret had knocked two other major brand scopes out of zero & tracking. Bought a used Burris from a friend who'd sold his pistol without the scope. Still on that same Contender. I've owned several since and been pleased with every one of them. We handle our guns with care but we also hunt in the Rocky Mountains -they call them that because the made of rock. If you hunt there and have never gone down, you never left the golf course. I bought this scope for a life time build. A mountain rifle (imagine that) 40yrs in the back of my mind. No comprise. Gun's not done. Scope is on a 6.5 Grendel AR for evaluation. Holds zero, tracks very well. Can't hunt at night in AZ. so large objective just adds weight, compares very well in low light to 40 & 44 objectives. Reticle is informitive but not busy. Light in weight, compact, tracks, holds zero, good reticle, less than half what I expected to pay. Can it take a hit? 4 stars till I know. This isn't a scope for 1000yd. competition or shtf zombie attacks. This is for HUNTING. I'd bet directed by hunters not marketers. If this scope has the features your looking for give a lot of concederation.
Pros:
- Light &compact, good light considering objective, good reticle, priced right,no BS guarantee.
Cons:
- If I find one I'll let you know

I don't normally use see through mounts, I did buy this scope for a see through mounts set up. I have a remmy 700 30-06 and it has true glow iron sights that work really well but wanted a scope for longer range shots. I hate having a scope come down and take up field of view when it comes to this set up but this has the 14x power and small lense to keep out of the way. As for quality of the product it's better than Nikon or Leupold at the same prices IMO and it is 1 of my favorite scopes. After this purchase I have bought a few more Burris lines and have not yet been dissapointed. Not the best for low light conditions but it's not the worst. Clicks are audible and the AO has impressive adjustments
Pros:
- Great quality, small lense allows for excellent cheek weld to stock. Clear glass.
Best Used for:
- See through sights or if you use low profile rings for better cheek weld.

I have a Remington 700 in 30-06, I got fiber optic iron sights on it but wanted more. So I got this scope with meupoldbsee through rings. Powerful scope with small enough lense so I can still use my iron sights, great set up. I'll prob get another 1 to throw on a carbine rifle for a good cheek weld
Pros:
- Powerful with small lense
- Has bullet drop compensator in the cross hair
- No problem with light gathering
Cons:
- Fish eye at lower power levels but still crisp and clear

My father and I went shooting with my childhood Ruger 10/22 that he saved for his grandkids. I realized the scope from 40 years ago was junk and wanted to upgrade the scope to one that is easier for my 76 year old dad to see. I also realized he is most likely not going to be shooting past 100yds due to not being able to hold a rifle steady, even with a bipod and bags. For fathers day I bought a highly rated scope that was on sale at a big box store. Shooting at 25yds with max zoom the targets were blurry due to the parallax and min focus distance. I spoke with Optics Planet and they recommended the Timberline 4.5-14x32 as it allows close focus up to 7yds. THIS IS A GAME CHANGER! With my dads poor eyesight we can zoom in on a target with max power and have tack sharp focus. A must have scope for anyone that has bad eyes and needs to zoom in on close targets or objects. Highly recommend this scope for anyone looking for a good rimfire rifle scope.
Pros:
- compact
- rugged
- Crisp and clear optics, highly adjustable.
- Sturdy dials
Best Used for:
- Rim fire shooting
- Close Focal Plane
- Zooming into close targets

Crisp and clear.
This is the second scope I have gotten from Burris. It is clear seeing with your naked eye though all levels of of magnification. If it does become a little blurry use the range select to clear it up like binos. I love the fact that it goes as low as 7 yards even though realistically I will never need it at that range.
I purchased a Remington 700 for my daughter ,who is 16, to get into long range shooting. The rifle is a good base rifle for such but the scope that came on it is garbage. As all fathers want to see their children succeed, I had to get a better scope. I got the Burris Xtream Tactical Picatinny rings to go with it. Debate if if I should of got a cavalier rings instead because of how generous the eye relief is. I wanted this extended eye relief so my daughter would cut paper and not her eye. If you are worried about the recoil of your rifle, I would recommend this scope. Even if you are not worried about your recoil it is still a top choice.
Pros:
- eye relief and Clarity
- Extra control on settings.
Cons:
- Mounting rings sold separate.
Best Used for:
- Any rifle with recoil concerns.

I have this on a Remington 700 with see through rings. I like larger lense but having the smaller lense in this situation is what I needed to be able to use my iron sights correctly. Very clear with the bdc in the cross hairs. When I took it out to the range my bullet holes were closer to drilling each other than just touching each other and that's at 200yds. The only problem I can say this scope has (and same with my other Burris scope) is that they don't come with a lense cover. Other than that great product

Burris quality and value are well known.
I chose this scope for precision .22 LR shooting and seemed a perfect fit for the power range, reticle (built-in drop compensation), size (relatively compact) and price point.
This scope has performed so well for this application that I have purchased a second for my other rifle.
Would highly recommend.
Pros:
- Optics Clarity, BDC Reticle and Price

It appears that my selection of a Burris Timberline 4.5-14X32 Riflescope w/ Ballistic Plex Reticle for use on a Marlin 45-70 1895CB with Kwik-Site see through mounts was a good idea. The reputation of Burris products in the optics world speaks for itself, especially the Timberline models and the performance in it's designated environment. Use high powered calibers in thick vegetation, extreme hour to hour climate conditions, and beat the scope on the rocks, it will maintain performance. I use 405 grain round nose flat points and after 30 to 40 rounds did not encounter problems. The scope provides plenty of reticle adjustment, reticle sight focus in normal hunting lighting conditions, and a clear picture. I now have no need for long range scopes with large objectives and was not prepared for the personal adjustment needed in using limited field of view at higher magnifications with smaller objectives, so do not make the same assumption. It does not have any relation to the scope's quality, just plain old physics. Another plus is that this scope's objective adjustment actually matches the yardage indication on the objective lens adjustment ring. That is a nice issue to encounter. It causes a smoother alignment process when aligning the bullet to actual flight characteristics as opposed to paper ballistics. I have no regrets. As always, Optics Planet order and delivery process is painless, unlike other on line retailers that surprise you with cost over runs in the checkout proce...

The new Burris 4.5X14X32 riflescope is a better scope than I expected to receive. I usually buy a different brand but decided to take a chance on Burris and I was not disappointed in any way. The eye relief is a little short but workable for my application. I may purchase another for my next build.
