Steve's Review of Burris Timberline 4.5-14x32 Rifle Scope w/ Ballistic Plex Reticle
My first experience with Burris goes back 20 yrs+. A 30 Herret had knocked two other major brand scopes out of zero & tracking. Bought a used Burris from a friend who'd sold his pistol without the scope. Still on that same Contender. I've owned several since and been pleased with every one of them. We handle our guns with care but we also hunt in the Rocky Mountains -they call them that because the made of rock. If you hunt there and have never gone down, you never left the golf course. I bought this scope for a life time build. A mountain rifle (imagine that) 40yrs in the back of my mind. No comprise. Gun's not done. Scope is on a 6.5 Grendel AR for evaluation. Holds zero, tracks very well. Can't hunt at night in AZ. so large objective just adds weight, compares very well in low light to 40 & 44 objectives. Reticle is informitive but not busy. Light in weight, compact, tracks, holds zero, good reticle, less than half what I expected to pay. Can it take a hit? 4 stars till I know. This isn't a scope for 1000yd. competition or shtf zombie attacks. This is for HUNTING. I'd bet directed by hunters not marketers. If this scope has the features your looking for give a lot of concederation.
Pros:
- Light &compact, good light considering objective, good reticle, priced right,no BS guarantee.
Cons:
- If I find one I'll let you know
Best Used for:
- hunting
