Stefan McFarland's Review of Burris Xtreme Tactical 2-10x42mm Rifle Scope
Put on lightweight AR 10 build in 6.5 Creedmoor.
Pros: Excellent low light performance. Clear glass. Nice Turrets. Comes with sunshade and flip caps.
Cons: The SCR MOA reticle is a little fine but I'm getting used to it, really needs to be at 10x to be useful. Eyebox is pretty tight. Front lens cap broke on first outing. Illumination not daylight visible, but I knew this going into it like most FFP scopes.
Overall I'm very pleased with the scope so far. Has tracked consistently out to 600 on steel. This is primarily my hunting optic, and the lowlight performance is much better than my previous Leupold Mark 4. At this price point I don't think there is anything better out there. Considered the 3-15 but didn't want the additional 6 ounce weight penalty. Considered the 1-8 but the lack of parallax adjustment was a show stopper for me.
