Burris xtr - Burris Xtreme Tactical 3-15x50mm 34 mm Tube First Focal Plane (FFP) Rifle Scope

I was in the market to find a decent scope for a decent price which had a lot of features for my intended use. I can across this scope after reading about it on some other internet sites. I was originally wanting the next model up, the 4x20x50, but it was not in stock. This model was available, the 3x15x50, SCR reticle, and mil adjustments. I am not a optics wizard and never claim to be one.

My take on the Burris XTR. Scope tube is solid. Well designed no complaints at all. Fast focus eye piece is nice, and gives me a sharp image of the reticle. The SCR reticle is right on the money. Elevation turrent is just the right size, meaning not overly to large, and not so small. Adjustments clicks are nice and defined, you know what you are dialing. Zero stop, works perfect.

During range use. The scope was used on a semi .308 out to 800 yards. The elevation and windage adjustments in Mil were spot on. These were confirmed out to 800 yards. As for the reticle, again spot on using holdovers out to 800 yards. Parallax was easily adjusted out.

Optic clarity. Again, no scope expert here, but image from edge to edge was clear and sharp. I have seen and used higher priced scopes that cost twice as much with bad clarity. This scope well designed and Burris hit a home run on this XTR line.

It does come with a sunshade, and flip up covers for ocular and objective lenses. For me, this scope is a win in features and price.
