Burris XTS Red Dot
I mounted this XTS on a special build AR Flat top 16" barrel using the 3/4 height Burris Extreme Tactical 30mm mount and it co-witnesses perfectly with the BUIS. Thanks Optics Planet with the quick shipping and great service.
Pros: Excellent Burris quality all around optics
Cons: none found

Good red dot scooe
I have used the XTS-135 for the past 11 years on a AR-15 for patrol. I qualified without any problems every department qualification. The unit was put through abuse by taking the rifle in and out of a rifle carrier in a vehicle. The red dot never had issues of getting out of accuracy when it was hit taking it out of the vehicle. I am very happy with the quality and accuracy. Burris replaced plastic optics covers free of charge when they broke. So far no problems and I will use for many years to come.

- great quality product

review of the dot
For people that are having a problem seeing the dot as a bunch of pin pricks or a letter of the alphabet. I'm sorry to tell you this but you have the same problem as I do. See a eye doctor get some glasses it helped me out with all my red dot sights including my crimson trace laser beam on my laser sights.

Great on my Mini-14
Have two stainless Ruger Mini-14's one older with folding stock, one new carbine they both have an XTS-135. The sight works great for me fast, easy zero, clear and have held solid for 400-500 rounds each and they make me look like a much better shot than I actually am. Still surprised at how well they work for such a low price. And I really appreciate the fast/durable lens caps, have never had one open even banging around. Would buy another. Still on first batteries after about two years.
Pros:
- Clear optics
- Solid contruction
- Holds zero

Love mine too
I bought this sight on sale from another sight/retailer/parts company for $70.00 less than advertised here and approximately 3-4 years ago.I immediately mounted it to my DPMS O.R. Carbine and only had to add a small riser section to get it where my eyes need it. I LOVE this thing, I researched and looked at every other sight from ACOG to Aimpoint and EOtech and found this to be not only far lower in price but equal to or better in quality, visibility and ease of use. I took it to the range and zeroed it without any real problems. I had to first honor the process and find the ammo my particular rifle "likes" and then start actually "zeroing". I am an Instructor to civilian,Security and Law Enforcement with over 30+ years of Instructing experience so I realize that zeroing any rifle/optics types is not a "throw it on and it will work" deal, and really; I find the process of getting behind the rifle with various ammo choices is the fun!
The clicks for adjustment of both windage and elevation are positive and hold zero. Once I found the right ammo and took the time to compensate for the barrel/sight "offset"; it zeroed and has stayed in place with only minor tweaking if the sessions are farther apart than 60 days. I do not now (or when mounted) did I expect this red dot sight to work like a precision scope at 200 yards. I know that is NOT its purpose. I am consistently able to hit an NRA "tombstone" target with shoot n see overlay and cover the group of 30 or more rounds with ...

Burris Red Dot
Mounted this on my RRA LAR-PDS 5.56 and took it to the range. It was a pain to Zero then after about 50 rounds the dot would disapear after each shot and either return a couple minutes later or I would have to change the setting for it to come back. Then it lost zero after about 100 more rounds. Couldn't return it either (guess optics planet 100% guarantee is bogus) Would not reccomend optics planet or Burris.

Awesome red dot
extremly well made red dot. No problems what so ever so far. Have been using for over a month now and I am in law enforcement so it gets banged around and abused alot while working I would say comparable to aimpoint so far but alot less money. I have tried the vortex strikefire and this beats it hands down.
Pros: brigthness of dot, ruggedness

very nice red dot for the money
This sight is installed on a .22lr AR-15. It is very well suited to this application. I do however wish the dot was just a little smaller to make precision shooting a little easier. The dot is bright enough for all but the brightest conditions. Overall I am very pleased with the sight and would recommend it.

Disappointed...
I purchased this red dot scope with a Kalinka PK-01V AK Side Mount for my Saiga 7.62x39 Rifle and I am very disappointed. The red dot itself is very...very poor. On medium settings, the dot looks like a scribbled, crooked, lopsided capital lettered I. Its nowhere near a dot. For $250, it could at least have an acceptable red dot. But not a scribbled line. Maybe the one I received was defective, I honestly can not tell you. But I would definitely stay away from it.
Pros: Solid Design
Cons: Very Poor Red Dot
