I chose this Bushnell scope over about 75 other candidates!
I was looking for a scope that had some very specific characteristics. This one had them all. A 42 mm objective lens because it’s dorky to have 50 mm on a hunting rifle (too high messes up cheek weld). Adjustable parallax so you can shoot small plates if you want and not have to worry about perfectly centering your eye on the scope image… amazingly clear, bright optics that match the brightness of my Nightforce scope at 1/9 of the price… Great eye relief that allows me to easily shoot with my glasses on at max magnification, non-capped turrets that lock in position, by simply pressing them do...

Great Glass and Turrets at a great price.
This only goes for the 30mm Engage scopes with target turrets. The 1" Engage scopes are completely different and not good.
This is my go to scope for a cheaper option where I need repeatable adjustments. I own every version of this scope and 3 of the 3-12. I love the locking, toolless zeroing turrets. The adjustments are accurate and repeatable. The glass is really good. I have used them on long range 22lr rifles dialing out to 400 yards and using the reticle for additional holdovers. 22's require alot of adjustment for different ranges and these scopes have preformed for years in this role. They've held up to heavy recoiling long action cartridges.

Engage 3-12x42
I have this on top of a FV-SR in 22lr. Optics are some of the best in this price range, tracking is not perfect but good enough, locking turrets hold secure and clicks are distinctive, 4x zoom is handy and the reticle seems accurate enough. No feedback yet on reliability as I've only shot once with this setup. If this had a zero stop I'd be hard pressed spending money on anything else (shame I can't see a way to fit one like some other scopes...)
Pros:
- cost
- Locking Turrets
- decent optics
- 4X zoom
Cons:
- No Zero Stop (but for the price..)
Would recommend: Yes
