Most Helpful Positive Review The low profile makes dot acquisition easy on my Hellcat
Bought a Hellcat OSP when they were first introduced. Installed a Sig Romeo Zero shortly after. Never liked it for a number of reasons. Brightness adjustment was awful, the polymer lens would starburst beyond mid brightness settings, dot wasn't the easiest to acquire, etc. I preferred the iron sight...

Most Helpful Negative Review Works until you actually shoot your gun
This red dot worked great for about six months. It’s always on so you don’t really have to mess with anything except siding it in. I’ve carried my hellcat Pro with me everywhere for the last six months with it on and no problems. Silly me decided to actually go out and shoot my pistol using the red...

Point and click

by SpudShooter, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on November 20, 2024
When I saw these come out a couple years ago, I was very interested since its design is geared especially towards quick response concealed carry. There isn't any new steps involved in your drills, just draw, point, and click. No brightness, power or gimmicks, just a dot that is always on 100% of the time that adjusts your brightness for you. Its the most simple dot optic as you can get and for everyday conceal carry its perfect for that reason. For two years now Ive had the same battery its shipped with installed and checking again now, yep its still on. Its directly mounted on my s&w equalizer and its held its zero through multiple range times, two commercial airline flights, and many days of carrying it concealed. The finish is darker and slightly more glossy than the armornite finish, and is only starting to show wear towards the back of the optic on the corners. Yes, the adjustments dont "click", but keep in mind thats its a handgun optic, not a precision rifle scope and that going by quarter or eighth turns with an allen works just fine, and whatever adjustment you made will hold. The dot is a little large for my preference, but that does have its advantages. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to conceal carry with a dot.
Pros:
  • reliability
  • finish is excellent
Cons:
  • Dot Size (large)
Best Used for:
  • Conceal Carry
  • night carry

Bushnell I would no have thought. Can't see a non like on this for micro carry

by Josh, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on November 3, 2024
Only about 100rds. And limited on comparing towards others . The low profile is great was iffy on it until mounted . It's just like drawing for my irons no adjustments needed for me . Clear glass, auto bright instant zero notice you have to manipulate your hand over it while looking through it to even see it happens very quick, very distinct dot no flare until my longer than most arms are fully extended and then just a bit when in darker settings still great imo . Zero snagging on draw ,6moa size great for pratical micro 9mm ranges 30 yrds 8" plate all day brand new fn 9 reflex and dot good for me . WOULD BE 5 STARS only con for me windage and elevation adjustments. Have no audible or click at all just tension turn so time will tell seems to hold zero though 100 rds still feel very comfortable with it I just like clicks . Time will tell will try later update . Feel my money well spent for what it's worth
Pros:
  • Clear glass ,sharp 6moa dot ,low profile, excellent auto adjusting brightness
Cons:
  • No click adjustments for windage and elevation there is tension just no click . Seems to hold well it just is different when sighting in not a deal breaker though just only con I can say
Best Used for:
  • iwb

Ease of installation was amazing. Installs with no gap between it and the slide. Solid mount and still able to see the pistol sights with co-witness relief cut. Clear, bright dot.

Excellent value

by HattedSandwich, from CA, United States Written on March 25, 2024
Like the other reviewer, I bought this optic for a Hellcat Pro. The RXU mounts directly to the slide and has a low profile body. The dot is large and easy to find, and the auto brightness adjustment was adequate in all the ranges I shot at (indoor and outdoor). One piece of advice, though, if you're a professional you can save quite a bit by registering with Bushnell. I'd buy this dot again without hesitation.
Pros:
  • Ruggedness, Value, Feature
Cons:
  • Bottom Loading
Best Used for:
  • CCW

Red dot doesn’t look right

by Nate j, from UT, United States Written on January 31, 2024
I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this red dot and all of them said that the red dot on the Bushnell was super crisp but it seems blurry to me and not a circle maybe it’s just the one I got but other than that I really like it
Pros:
  • Very compact
Cons:
  • blurry dot
Best Used for:
  • Concealed carry pistol
