Bushnell 360R Rangefinder Retraction System 203240
About two years ago I purchased the Bushnell Legend 1200 with ARC rangefinder for use in archery and firearms sports. The unit itself is excellent! It is easy to set up and use in the field. The optics work well for me (adjustable eyepiece) but the supplied lanyard seemed flimsy at best.
Eventually, I succeeded in breaking the lanyard (snagged a passing bush) but did not hurt/drop the rangefinder. That incident precipitated the earnest search for an acceptable attachment system. There are a few different ones on the market but I had difficulty in finding one that I felt strong and simple enough for my use. Bitter experience has taught me to avoid ALL products that contain even a hint of Velcro. It was quite by accident that I discovered the Bushnell 360R Rangefinder Retraction System 203240 on the Bushnell web-site in their Golf division. Please understand that I had made written inquiry as to the availability of a more robust tether to Bushnellhunting products. Apparently all departments at Bushnell are not aware of their entire product line.
That is when I searched Optics Planet and found the Bushnell 360R Rangefinder Retraction System 203240 at a very reasonable price and with free shipping. I ordered the retractor/tether and am very pleased with its 42 inch steel cable, -20 threaded attachment to the steel anchor molded into the body of the rangefinder and its over-all physical size making it easy to deal with while wearing gloves.
