Most Helpful Positive Review Bushnell Field Scan
This is my 4th Bushnell Trail Cam of this size/series. It is my first Field - Scan Model. From the limited testing I have done so far it works great. It is easy to set up and operate and works well in the field scan mode as well as operating as a trail camera at the same time and/or when field scan ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Trophy Cam
I hate to do this as I own 8 of these. I think these are great cameras for the money and the battery life is amazing. However, you need to own 8-10 of these if you buy any. We have had 4 replaced through warranty. Of those 4, 2 of the replacements have gone back and I am boxing 2 more to go back....

Short life

by LR, from NJ, United States Written on July 29, 2014
This was a good camera while it lasted.

Pros: Batteries made it nearly 9 months in temps that dropped to -30 F. Good image quality. Huge photo storage. Compact. Easy to set up and download.

Cons: Trigger speed a bit slow as it would only pick up slow walking game (moose. bear) after it had nearly passed through the field of view. Poor image quality at night (would often only pick up glow of eyes at more than 25 ft from camera). Short life, mine lasted just one season's use...about 1/2 the life of other cameras I've owned.
Best Used for:
  • occasional use

USE AS A SECURITY CAMERA

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on August 17, 2013
I used this camera a a security camera in the driveway. Last Wed night someone borrowed all four wheels off my Yukon in the driveway behind the house and the vehicle was 35ft from the camera and did not record the thieves and that was whythe camera was purchased. Very disappointing
Pros: clarity of pictures night and day
Cons: lack of distance to actuate motion detector for camera to take pictures

Pros: Great night video

Less than a year and camera died. Internal condensation and water damage evident. Fuzzy pics and night shots were way too dark.

Awesome Camera

by Legacy Reviewer, from VA, United States Written on October 2, 2012
Received this camera as a gift. Set the camera up and captured some awesome pictures. The color day pictures are very clear the distance to activate is great. The activation time for the money is great. If you are on the fence about the best camera for the "buck"..... This one is it. I only wish I could post some of the pictures the camera took. Awesome camera.
Pros: Small/Easy set up
Cons: Can't think of any

Bad luck!

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on December 26, 2011
I've been through three cams. The first had very inconsistent video sensitivity and didn't record every time. The second had very poor video quality. The third was a combination of both! Not happy.
Pros: Small size, good quality pictures.
Cons: Poor quality video, inconsistent sensitivty.

I had the camera for a month, it works great. Have taken over an hour worth of 30s clips and 90 stills. Clear day time pictures at 3mp. The night pics are ok out to about 30 feet. Batteries (using four AAs) still full after a month of use and weather down to 8 deg F.
Pros: Takes great Pictures
Cons: Sensitive trigger
