Yareelohim's Review of Bushnell 8x32mm Trophy XLT Binoculars

I have had these binoculars for 2 years now and bought them for their lifetime warranty. Like most other reviews have noted, the lens caps break and come off easy. The right eye piece is constructed poorly with very thin plastic at the base. My right eye piece began to loose focus over time and on opening day of deer season the entire right eye piece completely fell off as I took them out of the case. Keep in mind my binoculars live in their case which stays in the center console of my truck and they have never been dropped or abused. They don't even have a scratch on them to this day.

I paid $10 to ship them to Bushnell and Bushnell denied the life warranty stating they broke becaus of "impact damage" and were unrepairable since the weekest plastic point on the binoculars are constructed into the actual prism.

Bushnell offered me a discount at $65 + $10 for return shipping instead of honoring the warranty.

I have bought many Bushnell products in the past and never needed to use the warranty. I am very sad to say I will most likely never buy another Bushnell product with a lifetime warranty as this was a total let down to not have a reputable company honor their warranty.

I loved the binoculars at first but cannot recommend them because the eye pieces have been a common problem in most all the updated reviews and many reviews on other sites state the same problem of the right eye piece breaking around the 2 year mark.

If you want something that will last beyond 2 years...don't buy these.

If you want something that has a lifetime warranty...I hate to say it but you need to buy from a different company.

Loved the binoculars, extremely disappointed in the company and warranty.
