Galileo made better telescopes 400 years ago! - Bushnell 900mm x 4.5 inch Voyager with Sky Tour Reflector Telescope

Larry S's Review of Bushnell 900mm x 4.5 inch Voyager with Sky Tour Reflector Telescope
I had to adjust the mirror just to get within the laser's adjustable range for aligning with the optics. This was not even a procedure described in the manual. The tripod is so flimsy that even the lightest touch causes excessive vibration, ruining observation and making focusing very frustrating. The azimuth fine adjustment is not smooth and there is no altitude fine adjustment at all, making it nearly impossible to find an object in the sky other than the Moon unless you have infinite patience. The electronic Sky Tour device is clunky and lame in its programming. You're better off finding a good astronomy app for your smartphone. Do not buy this thinking it is a reasonable option for a beginner. It will only frustrate you to the point of abandoning the idea of taking up astronomy as a hobby.
