Most Helpful Positive Review Exceeds expectations
I have an EOTech setup for close range on my Ruger SR-556 and I bought this scope for beyond 200 yards at the range. I was impressed with it right out of the box. It looks great and performs just as good. The adjustments have firm positive clicks, the view is crisp and clear, the BDC system w...

Most Helpful Negative Review A good scope for the money ... but
The clarity and quality of this scope was what I expected, even more. However, the purpose of this scope is for long range shooting which is why I gave it 3 stars. The ballistic drop compensation dots are too large to use with precision at longer ranges for which this scope is intended. Horizonta...

burris 4.5-18 x40

by marc, Verified Owner from MS, United States Written on December 27, 2023
Very good looking scope, easy to mount. I put this on a savage AR 224 Valkyrie. After just 2 shots at 25 yds, 3 more at 100 yds I was grouping 5 shots at 400 yds inside 2.5”. Scope is very clear and come with 4 custom turrets.

Don’t waste your money

by Will, from AL, United States Written on October 23, 2023
This scope looks fancy with some nice bells and whistles and that’s what you’re paying for. If you plan to use this to hunt with shots coming at dusk or dawn go to Walmart and get a $100 Simmons before you get this. It hardly picks up any light in low light conditions. In the day time the scope is good. 20 minutes before sundown you can’t see anything clearly even on the lowest power. The eye relief on 18 power is very short, maybe 1.5 inches at the most. My biggest problem with this scope is changing the battery. The manual shows a coin slot to un screw it, but there is none. The illumination turret has no stop on it, so when you try to unscrew the cap to change the battery it just spins and spins. You have to hold the turret in one hand and in the other try to unscrew the cap which doesn’t work because you have nothing to grasp to unscrew it. The only way I have ever gotten the cap off is by putting the turret in my vise and taking a pair of pliers to try and grab the cap to unscrew it. It’s a pain. If the battery ever dies in the field you’re not going to be able to change it. Trust me. 5 grown men (2 being professional gunsmiths and 1 a marine) in my hunting club all tried to get the cap off to change the battery and none of us could. We even had a bet to see who could get it off first. Nobody won. All in all I can name you 30 different scopes I would buy before this one. Save your money and get a leupold. If you have to have the illumination, a Nikki sterling or hawke a...

I got it on sale....under 200!!!

Its a no brainer at that price. High quality all around. Tons of options with excellent turrets and an extended magnification lever? I mean....Im not an expert, but I have several different types of scopes and this tactical scope is clear, great reticle, solid make and tons of options. I highly recommend it.

Drop Zone Reticle a little coarse for target work

by RWL, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on October 19, 2021
This review is for scope AR741840 with a Drop Zone reticle. I would have preferred the Windhold reticle because of the finer crosshairs but the scope would have cost almost $40 more than the one with the Drop Zone reticle. The Drop Zone reticle is a little coarse for target work and covers up much of the aiming point, particularly at 100 yards. I had the scope out to sight it in on a 22lr rifle yesterday. In yesterday's good lighting conditions the image was clear from 4.5 to 18x. The image was only slightly less bright at 18x. I made a point of looking for that or I might not have noticed it otherwise. I moved the turrets in both directions and the adjustments are repeatable. Crisp clicks. I went from shooting at 50 yards to 100 yards - 15 clicks of elevation and back and it was centered at 50 yards again. I was easily able to see my hits of 22lr at 50 yards. It was a little difficult to see 22 cal. hits at 100 yards on 18x but I could kind of make them out. My spotting scope confirmed that I was seeing things correctly through the AR Scope at 100 yards. I was using self printed targets with orange diamonds as the aiming point. Even my good 60x spotting scope has difficulty seeing black holes in a black target so don't count on seeing those unless you're using a colored target aiming point rather than black. I was pleased with the feel of the movement of the magnification and side focus. Both had just the right amount of resistance - not tight or easily change...

Great scope for my Ruger 10/22. Went to a .22 competition and had a lot of fun shoot #2 pencils ,toothpicks, woodmatch sticks, tiny paper targets. Didn't place but home some nice swag. Love my new scope! I will be shopping your website again soon.

Impressed!

by TD, from WY, United States Written on August 31, 2020
I got a great deal on this scope from OP. I bought the .223 model hoping I could switch off between a short barreled .308 and the .223. I thought I could find a load that would work in the .308. I did. The range dots in this scope are rather large, but not unusable unless you are shooting 500 yard prairie dogs. For larger game they'll be just fine. The load I settled on shot about 2" low at 600 yards. At the lesser ranges they all impacted within the coverage of the dots. This is really a lot of scope for the money.

great scope

by Andy, from OH, United States Written on August 2, 2020
I put this on an ar-15 I built for hunting coyotes, the glass is crystal clear and the quick throw lever and side focus parallax makes for easy adjustments and quick follow up shots. I highly recommend bushnell products, i have them on several rifles and have never been disappointed. I will continue to use bushnell products.

Great scope and great price

by Scubalizard, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on March 15, 2020
I think this is a great show. Got it mounted on my 6.5 creedmoor bolt action. Glad it's very bright and clear. Like that this goes out to 18x. Bushnell makes some great scopes, I was a Nikon guy, but they have been going down hill, their warranty isn't as good, and now they are billing out of the firearm market.

Sometimeuser

by Mike, from TX, United States Written on February 19, 2020
Turrets slippery and difficult to turn. If outside of perimeter was coated with. Some non slippery rubber it would facilitate adjusting them. A tool could be produced to slip atop turrets grabbing ridges. Quite simply, just a rubber band the proper size would suffice.
