This is an update on this scope, have noticed that at lower zoom around 8-10 performs much better as far as edge distortion and critical eye placement in center. Makes me wonder why not just stop at 3-9 instead of trying to use 3-12 without upgrading internals to meet the 3-12 requirements to use at full potential.

3-12x40 AR Optic
Not quite what I was expecting. I have an older 3-9x40 Legend Ultra HD. The Legend is awesome, the AR Optic 3-12x40 is no comparison. Very mushy windage adjustment, you can’t even tell when you have made an adjustment and turrets are open, so another ding. Very unforgiving eye placement, you have a very small window to be looking straight down the tube or it has distortion and cloudiness. Throw lever is nice but if I had it to do over again I would opt for the older version without the lever and save 40-50 bucks. I guess for price I would recommend but not overly impressed.
