Most Helpful Negative Review Disappointed in TRS-26
I want so badly to like this little red dot in my past experience with the TRS 25 was great. I returned the first one because there were lines and artifacts in the field of view in addition to the red dot. Optic planet was great about & the customer service was excellent . The second one arrived...

Highly Recommended

After having a difficult time using the objective optic on several high-end red dots, I purchased the TRS-26 and was pleasantly surprised. The 26mm objective allows me to have quicker sight acquisition and a better field of view on my AR. Because of my initial success, I also mounted a TRS-26 on my 300 blackout and a Keltec Sub2000. There's no shake awake, but the long battery life allows you to leave the red dot on all the time. Despite commentors saying you can't, you can set this red dot to stay on, on have it automatically time out.
Pros:
  • Price
  • long battery life
  • High Mounting Points for Optics
  • Sight acquisition fast
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Quick sight acguisition

Good red dot...good price

by Zman, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on September 27, 2023
This is a very good compact red dot. i first used the TRS-25 years ago and have moved up to the TRS 26. The TRS-25's still work perfectly and the 26's are carrying on the tradition with a bit more clarity and ease of use. These are basic, sturdy, accurate after some use and dont break! You cant beat the price for this quality and reliability. This will work for you.
Pros:
  • ease of use, on/off buttons
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • up to 100 yds

Bushnell AR Optics TRS-26 Red Dot Sight

by C12Mech, from FL, United States Written on August 19, 2022
One of the nicest red dots I’ve ever had. Very easy to set up and would highly recommend to anyone needing a red dot for their rifle.
And one of the easiest to set up. It’s a perfect size and the Bushnell AR Optics TRS-26 Red Dot Sight is by far one with fantastic options.

Ok depending on price

by Matt, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on August 14, 2022
This optic is solid but only really worth it when Bushnell has a rebate going on. Nice viewing field and solid mount. However, it has less features than a Sig Romeo 5 and costs more when the Sig is regularly closer to $100. No shake awake technology. In fact, you need to hold down the Up button to turn it on and it's not instantaneous. Also easy to forget which one is the Up button if you're in a hurry to turn it on. This makes this optic nice for a range gun but not for more serious use.

Best red dot you can get on a budget!

by Preston Marrott, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on March 31, 2022
This red dot sight is great! You can adjust the brightness and it is very clearly visible in the daytime. It is light and the mount it comes with workes perfectly!
One thing that I PERSONALLY dislike is having to use the arrows to turn it off and on. There is no dedicated on/off button. This is my first red dot, so they all might be like that, but i dont know. But that is not my reason for taking a star away.
My -1 star reason is the dot itself. As you increase the brightness, the red dot starts to flare a bit. Using the brightest settings is unadvised because the dot starts to become not a dot anymore. That, however, can be mitigated by simply keeping the brightness down. Even at lower britghness, it still works great in the day light.

Overall, i definitely like this red dot!
Pros:
  • works
  • Simple
  • Red
Cons:
  • No on/off button
  • red dot flares on higher settings
Best Used for:
  • shooting
  • SIGHT

All around

by Kyle, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on March 28, 2022
Great value, you can't go wrong with it. The only reason I'm rating a 4 over a 5 is simply my own preference. I wouldn't mind paying more for the sight if it came with the low-rise mount instead of having to buy it separately. The ability to mount it on different profiled rifles and shotguns is what makes it great. A few of my family have bought this optic.

excellent red dot!

by Kirk, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on March 22, 2022
Fits perfect, larger sight picture is great for quick & easy target acquisition, very durable. Easy to use and easy to adjust as well as dim & brighten. I was worried that the 3 MOA dot might be a little too large, but it isn’t, it’s perfect. I wish I would have bought this a while ago. I definitely recommend this red dot!
Pros:
  • Its awesome
Cons:
  • None that i have found yet
Best Used for:
  • cq as well as distance out to about 100 yards. farther than that and you might want to add a magnifier.

Very Good Red Dot

by Guido, Verified Owner from ME, United States Written on June 22, 2021
Bought one along with a Bushnell 3x magnifier. Installed both on an AR .556/.223 black rifle. Mounting was easy, every thing went as it should. A QD lever on the TRS would be nice, rather than the screws. The magnifier came with a lever style QD mount. Nice. After a quick centering of the magnifier which worked perfect I did a USMC 36 yard zero and the setup was dead nuts on elevation, 1 inch left of center. I adjusted 1 click right for windage and it was then dead nuts elevation and windage. I then cranked the sight up 20 clicks and back down 20 clicks to see if it would hold it's zero. It did. 3 shots to zero and confirm. Super nice. I then moved out to a 100 yard bench rest and blasted off about a hundred and ten rounds at steel targets with a 6 inch white paint center circle. The dot was very clear at the 6 power setting and it was extremely easy to hold at 6 o'clock on the 6 inch circle. I rang that bugger every shot. Then it went haywire. Turns out the screws on the TRS mount had loosened up. This was probably operator error as I did not want to over tighten or strip the screws. Lock tight will help. I then removed the TRS from the rifle, reattached it, cranked the screws as tight as I could get them by hand using the supplied tool and did another 36 yard USMC zero. Dang thing was still spot on. Really nice. Back out to the 100 yd rest and continued ringing steel for another 30 rounds. The TRS will hold zero when cranking the windage and elevation settings and when remo...
