If you like simple- this is for you. No maps make it easy. Also makes it a basic device, so if you want maps this doesn't have it.
Lets you record waypoints as well as the route you took. Good to use for recording where my teenage son went too!

Detour changed to mapquest
When I originally bought my D-Tour it used Google Maps and worked awesome! They recently switched to Mapquest and the maps are not nearly as good, more like worthless as Mapquest does not show TOPO lines so you may walk up to a cliff. cant get it to work
got ahold of bushnell told me to get ahold of another havent heard anything the gps refused to find satelites without the connection there is no use for it just a waste of my time and money probably should of known for as cheap as it is

Interesting product, works as described
Instructions are only fair. Took me 6 times of effort to really understand the
auto and manual tracking functions. It is neet to look at your track, however
having only 5 manual inputs for standard hiking seems way to low. The auto tracker
is nice to see how far you walked but , well I can't figure out a way to really use
it since I am not a mountain climber. I purchased it strickly for the gps function and the lat long output for a single location, which works extremely well.

Accuracy is Off. Resetting is a problem.
It's not as accurate as a $5 compass, but it will get you in the vicinity. It does not always reset to start over like it should. Sometimes it jumps back to old distance instead of resetting if the button is held just a tenth of a second too long. On the other hand if you don't hold it long enough it will not reset. It's a typical "not so great" Bushnell product. I've used Bushnell products for 20 years. They have always underachieved, and looks like they still do.

Fantastic portable GPS tracker for my outdoor events. For the price this was a great buy and easy to use and set-up. A hiker's must item!
