A great value for the money. Eye cups adjust and focus adjust easily and convently. Lens protectors are secured to the binoculars so they don't get lost. Totally satisfied. Pros: Bright, tough and easy to adjust Cons: None

Greatest bang for the least amount

by Legacy Reviewer, from VA, United States Written on March 15, 2010
I have owned these for 4 years now and have used them in the toughest terrain from the rugged African sub Saharan dessert to the back country of Alaska and Russia, and backpacking in the Grand Canyon and the high Sierras. These binos meet all of my expectations. They are solid, easy to use, and a great value.
I did a lot of research before settling on these. You should not buy larger magnification for bird watching, hunting, or looking at planets unless you plan to use a tripod. Your hands will not be able to hold it stable enough while looking at moving animals and objects.
The only drawback to these is that they are not waterproof or fog resistant. They stood up great to the dry heat and dust of the Sahara dessert but in moist or cold temperatures they tend to fog up. If this is a consideration, then the Nikon Monarchs are equally rated but include the waterproofing and fog resistance and are the ones to get. Of course they cost about $150 more.
But for regular use under normal conditions without weather extremes or humidity, these are great! Perfect all around binos!
Pros: least expensive, lightweight. and high quality lenses.
Cons: Not waterproof/fog proof
