Most Helpful Positive Review Great Product
This product works as advertized. It routinely ranges out to 1200 yards on trees if there is no fog or dust in the air. I have easily ranged one mile in clear weather from a very reflective surface such as a high rise building, not so far on targets or game. For normal competitive shooting out t...

Most Helpful Negative Review Not really a fan
The ranging isnt the best. It is inconsistant. They claim 1 mile, but I have never been able to range and animal more than about 700 yards...isnt that the point? Who cares if you can range a 40 foot building at a mile. That does my hunt no good.

Buahnell El;ite 1 mile arc

by Doc, from NY, United States Written on March 11, 2016
This product meets all of my hunting and target needs. It easily ranged reflective targets out to 1600 yards. I did have some problems initially with getting to menus and changing settings. However this resolved with some patience

Difficult in Bright Snow

by TJ, from OR, United States Written on December 7, 2015
I reviewed this product earlier and have used it quite a bit since then. A great product. I did find one problem area however. With bright snow, as in sunshine reflecting off of the snow, the ranging circle is very difficult to see, even when the intensity is turned up to the max. 4 position. This created some problems at the last tactical match as distances were difficult to ascertain. Did the same ranging through a Leica and it was spot on with no difficulties under the same conditions, although it does cost twice as much. Otherwise the Bushnell is a wonderful product. A minor issue unless one is shooting longer distances with tactical targets over bright snow.
Pros:
  • Good value for the price
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hunting, target shooting.

Great Range Finder

by NB, Verified Owner from ID, United States Written on October 4, 2015
Even though it was raining I got a chance to shoot some lazers out in the back forty, almost every one came back on the dot. The ones that were a little fuzzy were past 1200 yds and I really can't blame the arc range finder because it was pouring at the time. In fact I was impressed with the numbers it obtained for me at that time. Great unit at a great price.

Bushnell Rangefinder

by To Arms, from TX, United States Written on July 10, 2015
This rangefinder is probably one of the better rangefinders in its' price range. That said, it cost 1/2 of what my .308 rifle cost. It is made in China. It should have a lifetime warranty but only has a one year warranty. The color of the rangefinder is off white. Why can't outdoor gear manufacturers provide gear that is in earth tones - I'd like gray or FDE colors offered.
The rangefinder has four brightness controls. For daylight I use the "3" level for full sunlight. Level 4 is too bright. Level 1 and 2 is not bright enough and would be better for dawn or dusk. The menu is easy to access and is easy to use. There are only two buttons - the menu button and the power / laser button. There is also a nice selection of units of measure - MOA, MIL, Yards, Inches, CM, Meters. And there is also a built in bullet drop feature built in with multiple selections for different cartridges.
Happy with my purchase and the price that I received from Optics Planet.
Pros:
  • Qualtiy
Cons:
  • Color puts some people off
  • pricey, but worth it
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • Target shooting out to 500 yards
  • For Rifles not Bows

Perfect For Shooters

by BAP, from UT, United States Written on July 8, 2015
I recently purchased this range finder to serve a couple of functions:

A. I am reviewing some areas in UT to set up some long range shooting targets (500-1700yd)
B. To serve as my primary method of ranging when shooting (rifle HD mode with slope calibration is awesome)

I can happily say that this rangefinder is quick, accurate very easy to use. I really like the brush feature (the rangefinder with take the furthest of 3 ranges when pointed through brush so that you can get an accurate range on something behind an obstruction).

I haven't put this tool through any sort of a beating yet, but the construction feels solid and durable when you hold it in your hands and I can say I would be comfortable abusing it without any performance concerns.
Pros:
  • durable
  • Accurate
  • fast
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • shooting

bushnell elite rangfinder

by garneaux, from WA, United States Written on March 23, 2015
Good rangfinder for the money. Ranges non reflective targets to 1100 yards well. Optics are good and the built-in angle finder will come in handy. Comes with a well built magnetically clasped case and lanyard as well as a rubberized lense cap. Although a bit on the bulky side it feels solid and well built. I look forward to running this thing through its paces.
Pros:
  • reasonable price
  • Accurate
  • powerful
  • angle finding
  • muti function
Cons:
  • bulkey
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • Target shooting
