Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x42
Excellent scope for the money with great glass and side parallax adjustment. Maybe a little too bulky for carrying through the brush but overall a very versatile rifle scope. 16x zoom is great for spotting bullet holes in targets up to 200 yards away.
Pros: versatility
Cons: too bulky for small r...

Mil to Moa? Eh
The mil reticle to moa turns on the dial was a little bit of a let down but I could have looked a little closer at some other pictures and saw that on the top of the turret though. The turret reset/set to zero mark is really easier to lift up on than I would like also. If you will or someone else mi...

Purchasing Bushnell For Power Range and Their Clarity At Long Range
I have Leupolds 4.5 X 14's on my traveling/long range Winchester Featherweight .270 rifle and CVA Kodiak .45 muzzleloader. No specific complaints, performed their jobs and *Leupold honored it's warranty without question when one lost it seal*. But when I would look through fellow hunter's scopes, their clarity was so much more obvious. This was so important especially at long range. Many had Bushnell's, from basic models to their top of the line like the 6500. All the Bushnell's had excellent clarity and I heard not one complaint. So I bought two of Bushnell's 2.5 X 16 6500's to replace the Leupolds. The clarity is so obvious on these. Just now getting new rings to mount the Bushnell's but I feel sure they will be everything I need. *Also, the 2.5 X 16 power range is just perfect for what I need when traveling where you don't know if it could be close-in or long range, don't see where this power range shouldn't be able to address any hunting situation*. Important is how Optic Planet packs their shipments, have bought other scopes from them as well as these and everytime they are packed excellent for protection during shipping. With Optic Planet's sales and coupons, and free shipping, expensive scopes can be purchased at the best prices anywhere!
Pros:
- Price
- Clarity
- Power Range

- None

First test out with it on the tikka light 7mm rem mag
Took it for a quick test run, zero after 3 adjustments
Then used the doa at 200 then 300 yards on
an 7inch steel plate hits straight up,that was
With cheap ppu 145 gr ammo not on the chart, scope is
Solid .For the price you can't beat it,can get
Better Glass but it would cost a ton more.Has
Heaps of eye relief good for magnam recoil,All
Up great scope long range hunting.
Have it in mil dot as well, which I hit 7in steel plate
At 500 yards with a howa admit 308 very happy with them
Will buy it again

Nice scope
A good scope if you can get on sale. Functional and handles recoil and holds zero. Clicks are close but not perfectly repeatable. Highest zoom range lacks clarity but is usable. You'd have to spend at least $1000 to do better.

Nice scope
Although I have not yet mounted and used this scope yet just looking through it , it seems to be very clear glass. I like the adjustment knobs. They are easy to use and seem very positive and with a simple lift and turn they easily set to zero.
This is my first Bushnell but so far I am very happy with it.

bushnell elite 6500
this is a good scope but not great in my opinion. it is not as clear as an older bushnell 4200 that i have. it is lighter and has a wider field of view but not as clear at the same power setting. also the reticle is thicker than i like.

Bushnell elite 6500
This scope has really good clarity and the rainguard is a definite must have in the field. I have owned several scopes over the years and this is definitely my favorite. I use this scope on a Browning X-Bolt 300 Win Mag composite and it holds its zero even with the amount of recoil. The rainguard works very well and keeps the scope from fogging up when I'm hunting in the rain and snow. I also like having the parallax adjuster on the side instead of on the front but that's just personal preference. The DOA is dead on for my 300. And the bracket system gets you really close on the range for mule deer, not sure about the whitetail marks. Overall I am very impressed with this scope.

EXCELLENT SCOPE FOR WOODS OR OPEN COUNTRY
I just bought this scope to mount on my .243 rifle. I am very impressed with the quality & clarity. Much better then any other scope I own, which is around 15 of all different brands, including Nikon, Weaver, Redfield, Simmons, Burris, Eo-tech, & others. After boresighting I was shooting 3/4" groups @ 100yds. after only 5 shots. You won't be disappointed.

Top Tier Riflescope
This scope is one of the best out there. I have all the good stuff money can buy and the only scope I have that's better is Swarovski. Now, if you are a mountain hunter or do a lot of traveling through the woods I do not recommend this scope because it's a 30mm which puts extra weight on the rifle setup. For mountain hunters, weight is everything and i would stick to a 1" tube if I were you. Now for short to medium distance traveling, meaning a couple miles or under, this scope is superb. The value of this scope compares to ones costing several hundred dollars more. This scope is built with quality and you can tell it when you pick it up. Nothing is cheap feeling on it and the clarity is really wonderful. I have the ones with the larger objective and the 30x zoom, but this is the one you want. If you can't get it done with a 16x, you probably can't get it done period. I recommend the 42mm objective because of weight issues too. The weight is much less than the 50mm without much compromise in FOV. I'm a big believer in keeping weight down. If you are a benchrest shooter this scope is not for you anyway. It's not meant for such. In my experience this scope rivals others that are $1k-$1,600. I have had and looked through Nikon, Swarovski, Zeiss, Leupold, Nightforce, and Vortex just to name a few. I would buy this over all of them, except the Swarovski. The Swarovski Z5 and the Bushnell 6500 are my favorite scopes depending on what I am using it for. You will not be disappointed ...

Very Impressed
I purchased this scope to put on a CZ455 17hmr. I am a varmint hunter who wants a bit more magnification for head shooting rabbits.
The optics are crystal clear and bullet holes clearly visible from 100 yards. The rain guard works and the reticle is nice. Turrets adjust nicely. The push pull zero stop is great.
I really like the 10 yard parallax adjustment for close up work.
Overall I'm really happy. The scope is light and small and easy to carry around on our steep country here in New Zealand.
I will purchase a range finder soon and will be buying Bushnell again and purchasing from Optics Planet.
Trust these guys!
